A re-imagining of that classic armless femme "Venus de Milo" let's call it a "reboot" of the old statue in ever sense of what that word has come to imply. Everyday I expect to see some classic work of artistic triumph "improved" through the pointless and indulgent addition of modern trappings, and I suppose that really was the initial conceptual inspiration for this piece.
We can rebuild her, we have the technology....
This was another piece done entirely on my iPad, I stretched the work out over a couple weeks and hundreds of tiny touch ups as the mood stuck; on the train, in the bath, at school... Overall I'd say it took about 2-3 hours of continual work, I'd love to hear what you have to say about her. Remember, a comment is worth a thousand faves

The juxtaposition between the machinery and the marble is extremely stark, and I'm not quite sure why. The effect is unique, but seemingly purposeless and as a result it comes off as poor skills rather than an artistic choice. The marble effects, however are gorgeous. The body and robes are darn near perfect, and I love the seamless transition from the marble robes to the background fog. My only other complaint is the face is strangely obtuse. The shading seems off due to the mostly smoky environment, and the eyes are a little derpy. Though honestly that complaint is very minor, since the emphasis is placed on the arms, the originality of the piece, and its meanings. Overall very well done.
hi i am from greece.and i think that is the main reason that i dont like your aspect of venus. i uderstand the meaning of your picture. but i want to be honest with you i believe that you dont uderstand her real beauty who is she. venus was not a fighter you could use aris as welll but venus was the symbol of love and beauty. i have to admit that you have done a very good job especially the body is great with nice details.i totally understand that you have tried very hard for this but this is my point of you sorry
